“Dojo’s Got Talent” is a collaboration for the Hyun’s Dojo community based on the hit television series “America’s Got Talent”

We’d like to host a talent show of our own, so we’ve got Hyun, Stone, & Hatena from the Dojocast to judge the contestants!

How Do I Join?
Participating is simple!
All you need to do is take the template from the button below, put it into your animation software, and animate either yourself or your character(s) showing off what they can do!
All you need to do in your animation is:
1 – Start with your character already on stage (They don’t need to walk in unless it’s necessary)
2 – Preform your act! Do whatever & have fun!
3 – Leave the stage (Optional)
Please mind the character height reference in the porvided guides. Anything that doesn’t generally follow this will likely not make it in the final collab.
Also please ensure your file follows these settings or follows these bullet points or your entry will NOT make it in the final collab at all.
Fps: 24
Canvas: 1920 x 1080 (or 1280 x 720)
Max length of 45 seconds

Rewards

The Golden Buzzer is a mechanic that allows each judge to give one animator a FREE Chosen One Light-Up Keychain!
Good luck!

What Can I do?
Pretty much whatever you’d like so long as it’s shown to be a talent! You don’t need to do a stick fight. Please be creative with this!
- Generally we expect to hear your own sound work, but it’s not necessary. (It will help your chances of getting accepted greatly!)
- You are allowed to use your own voice as well as others if necessary.
- You may move the camera so long as it starts with the full background
- You may do perspective shots, but you must draw the backgrounds yourself
- Joint with others or get help from friends (Be sure to credit them when submitting)
- Start or end outside of the stage so long as you preform your talent on stage
Using Music
If you intend on doing any kind of musical performance such as singing or playing instruments, you should not use the official music of copyrighted or protected music. There are SOME exceptions!
- You may use music from well known copyright free record labels such as NCS, Ninety9Lives, Bass Rebels, etc.
- You may use music from any Monstercat label since we have the license to use their music.
- If you are covering a copyrighted song, you must either recreate the instrumental in order to make it different enough for YouTube’s content ID system to not detect the copyrighted material, or you must get permission from another cover artist to use their work and ensure it’s copyright free (Proof needed).
- If it’s your own music, you must assure us that you will not attempt to claim the final collaboration or the review streams on the Dojocast YouTube channel.
- You cannot say or use anything including overly sexual or offensive that might get us demonetized
If you have any specific questions about using music, please let me know in the blog’s comments!
What NOT To Do
Here’s a simple set of rules of what not to do for your entry
- Anything potentially epileptic (If you need to ask if it’s epileptic, then it probably is)
- NSFW & suggestive content
- Copyrighted music (See above for more details)
- Add a watermark (personal or software)
- Make more than 1 entry
Submit Your Part!
You may submit your entry here!
If you have made changes and adjustments to your entry & wish to resubmit it, please fill out this forum here!
Am I Accepted?
We will be reviewing all valid submitted entries on August 16th & August 23rd on the Dojocast YouTube Channel!
If your entry breaks any of the rules mentioned above or includes potentially copyrighted material, then it will not be shown on the podcast.
These episodes have a pre-screening test to ensure they are safe to be shown on stream to a live audience.
Any entry submitted after the deadline will NOT be reviewed in the Dojocast Review Streams.
